Owner questions

What is my company's data worth to AI companies?

Nobody can tell you an honest number before a review. The program's published range is $100K–$5M for a license to a company's operating records. That's a range, not an offer or a guarantee; any amount is set by the program's review and a written agreement. The figure for any company depends on how many years of records it has, how much, how connected the systems are and how distinctive the work is.

Is it legal to sell or license company data to AI?

Licensing data you own and control is a normal commercial agreement, but what you may include depends on privacy laws, client contracts and professional rules in your industry. Have your own counsel review the agreement and decide what's in and out of scope. This site doesn't give legal advice.

Do I sell my data or license it?

In this kind of deal you license an agreed copy. You keep your original records and keep operating as normal. The written agreement sets what's shared, how it can be used, for how long and on what terms.

What kind of business data do AI companies want?

Operating records that show how real work gets done: email, documents and files, internal chat, CRM, call records, accounting, and the workflow and decision history across them. Years of connected records are what make data valuable.

How big does my company need to be?

Minimum team size, eligible countries and excluded industries are set by the program and can vary by industry. Very new or very small businesses are usually not a fit. The program's review confirms eligibility.

What does it cost to check if my company qualifies?

Nothing. The program charges no application or broker fee. If an affiliate introduced you, the program pays that fee, and it isn't deducted from your company's payment.

Will my customers' or employees' personal information be shared?

The program's process includes de-identifying personal information before use. Ask exactly how it works, what's excluded and who checks it, and make sure the protections are in the written agreement.

Can I exclude certain systems, clients or data?

Ask. Scope is set by the agreement. Many owners will want to exclude sensitive client material, anything under NDA and anything counsel flags. Raise it before review goes far.

Do we have to hand over passwords or system access?

Don't hand over passwords. Ask the program how export works and who does it. Referral partners never handle your data or logins.

How long does the process take?

It varies. Expect weeks to a few months from a first call to any payment, depending on review, legal review on your side and export. No timeline is guaranteed.

Is the license exclusive?

Licenses can include exclusivity for a set period. Read the exclusivity, duration and permitted-use terms carefully, and ask counsel what they mean for your future use of your own records.

Do I have to accept an offer?

No. Any offer is put in writing, and nothing happens unless you accept and sign.

Is this a scam?

Be careful with anyone in this space. Good signs: no upfront fee to you, a written offer before anything is exported, clear privacy protections, and no one promising a number before reviewing your records. Always have counsel read the agreement.

What if my company is closing, being sold or winding down?

Records from a business that's being sold or wound down may still have value, but ownership, buyer rights and deal terms matter. Ask the program about eligibility and have counsel check whether a license conflicts with a sale.

How is the payment taxed?

Ask your accountant. This site doesn't give tax advice.

Who runs this site?

An independent affiliate. Company links here are referral links; if your company licenses data through them, the site owner may earn a referral fee paid by the program, not deducted from your payment. This site is not owned or operated by the program and doesn't speak for it.
